In hockey, toothless players are not unheard of, as they have a reputation for being short tempered and highly competitive.

The Pittsburgh Penguins star forward Pascal Dupuis was caught on camera pulling out his own tooth right on the bench. The somewhat disturbing yet oddly funny scene occurred during a recent game against the Boston Bruins when the Penguins landed a 3 to 2 victory.

However prior to the win, when the hockey battle was in full swing, Dupuis became the victim of bad place and timing when his teammate raised his stick a little too high, jabbing Dupuis right in the mouth.

When his time on the ice was up, Dupuis could be seen taking a rest on the bench. A laid back, unconcerned look was on his face as the fingers of his left hand worked to pull out the loose tooth which resulted from the high stick.

After successfully yanking it out, his hand went right back in his mouth to feel around and tug on another loose tooth. As an ode to his determination and dedication to the game, his right hand never let go of his hockey stick.
