Jay-Z Under Fire for Partnership with Barney’s After Upscale Store Accused of Racism

People are incensed about Jay-Z’s planned clothing line at Barney’s of New York after recent racist practices have come to light. In two incidents, Barney’s contacted NYPD about fraudulent purchase made by separate black teens. Both times, the store and officers were unjust in their accusations. Many are saying Jay-Z should cancel the deal and this week the CEO of Barney’s will sit with Rev. Al Sharpton and the National Network Action to discuss the allegations.
