Historical recap: The Battle of Shiloh took place in Tennessee on April 6 and April 7, 1862. Estimates suggest that at most 67,000 Union and 45,000 Confederate soldiers fought at Bull Run with 13,047 Union and 10,699 Confederate casualties. The Union emerged victorious.
