STORY: After almost 13 years since his last new musical production opened, Tim Rice has finally picked up his pen to help bring to life a modern day telling of the story 'From Here to Eternity', and it may be just about time, the writer says. Made famous for his work with Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Elton John amongst others, Rice has racked up a slew of classic hits including 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat', 'Jesus Christ Superstar' and 'Evita', but has marked his return to the West End with a less experienced partner in debutant music writer Stuart Brayson. And it was Brayson's ideas that saw 'From Here to Eternity' make its stage transition. 'From Here to Eternity' tells the story of illicit love and army life of U.S. soldiers stationed in Hawaii in 1941 - the first time the story has been told as a musical, with a chance for people like Brayson to write new songs and tell an old story in a new way. That sort of attitude towards mu
