US to push tighter security control over US-Mexico border

United States senators have reached an agreement to harden control on the US-Mexico border. Under the proposal, the 3,200 kilometer-long border will be guarded by patrol guards wearing night-vision goggles, and there will be one guard every 300 meters. A total of 20,000 new border patrol agents will be added to the 18,500 existing personnel. It is also calls for the addition of 18 new unmanned surveillance drones, and the construction of 563 kilometers of new fencing.
