Paul Cézanne and Amedeo Modigliani shine at New York auction

New York, May 7 (EFE), (Camera: Jessica Martorell).- Paul Cézanne's "Les Pommes" and Amedeo Modigliani's "L'Amazone" were the star attractions of New York's spring auctions thanks to a sale, organized by Sotheby's, the centred on modern and impressionist art. Cézanne's work was sold for 37 million dollars whilst Modigliani's piece went for 25.9 million. Other important names at the auction included Auguste Rodin, Georges Barque, Pablo Picasso, Vincent van Gogh and Claude Monet.
