Two Americans and a German share Nobel prize for medicine

The Nobel prize for medicine has been awarded to two Americans and a German for what the Nobel Assembly said was "their discoveries of machinery regulating vesicle traffic, a major transport system in our cells".

James Rothman and Randy Schekman from America and Germany's Thomas Sudhof will share the prize worth eight hundred thousand euros. All three work in universities in the US.
