I'll point out that I do not and will never use the DLC weapons the game offered - they are stupidly over powered, targeted to weak or casual players, and totally unnecessary to beat the game.
According to some, this battle is hard. Note Zephie and Crocell basically beat this guy. Yah! Wizards. Even Zephie was hitting for over 1000. In the approach I use to the game, the Wizards basically have unlimited Kan (word used for mana). You see me loading them with Kan throughout this video. This is the same approach I used in Magna Carta Tears of Blood. It has carried over nicely.
