Losing a valuable or sentimental item can be heartbreaking for its owner. A missing person's flier has appeared in China, not for a human, but instead for a beloved vacuum cleaner.

The family behind the poster is searching for their robotic, dirt sucking contraption known as the Roomba. The whereabouts of the vacuum are currently unknown, but it’s believed the robot may have sneaked right out through an open door in the home.

For those who are unfamiliar with the Roomba, it is basically a floor cleaner that runs on its own, with the help of sensors to detect where the dirt is. Shaped like a large disc, it cruises around a room and through openings with ease.

The missing flier has a picture of the Roomba in question along with some additional information, so the owners can be contacted if the household cleaning machine is found.

Roombas have built somewhat of a reputation for going where they shouldn’t, like public streets. When doors are left open and unattended it has on occasion cruised right on out.
