Assad: Syria will respect weapons accords

At least nine people, mostly students, were reported to have been killed in an air strike on this school in north-eastern Syria.

The video, from a social media website and said to have been shot in Raqqa, could not be independently verified

The city's been under rebel control since March and is regularly targeted in air raids by government forces.

More video, said to be shot in Deraa, purportedly shows Syrian rebels taking positions and firing on government troops.

The images highlight the relentless nature of the civil war.

The fighting with conventional weapons rages on despite international steps to destroy Syria's chemical arsenal.
