Bartenders quickly learn how to throw patrons out, especially if they’ve had a few too many. Well, in one drinking establishment located in Juneau, Alaska, staff were shocked to discover a bear in the building.

It had been a relatively quiet Monday night at the Alaskan Hotel & Bar. A little after 9 at night, manager of the business, C. Scott Fry witnessed a black bear walk right past the hotel lobby.

As soon as the large animal made it to the bar door, it took a turn off the sidewalk and waltzed right into the pub. The panicked bartender on duty shouted “No bear! Get out! No! You can’t be in here!”

Thankfully the bear listened and walked right back out the door and quickly left the immediate area within a matter of seconds. A state biologist came forward after the story made reports, claiming that it’s extremely rare for black bears to walk inside Juneau businesses.

However it was also mentioned that bears have walked right into private homes in the past.
