Dr. Fouzia talks about Democratic Change in Pakistan in Weekend World with Huma Amir Shah at PTV World

In this show Dr. Fouzia Saeed talks about the change that the democracy has brought and what more needs to be done to strengthen democracy in the country. She said that democracy is not a magic wand. It takes a long process to groom and establish itself. People need to own the democracy. Our state and democracy is undergoing evolution and gradually people will start understanding democracy. We need to acknowledge the kind of progress we have made and should not only focus on what is not working. She said that in a democratic structure, people have a sacred contract with the elected governments and the government should provide equal rights to its citizens.
