Akshay Kumar To Play Dharmendra In Jugnu Remake?

The new-found trend of remaking the Bollywood's yesteryear films seems to be the permanent entrant of our industry of late. After having witnessed several film remakes like Agneepath, Aashiqui2, Zanjeer, the recent edition is the famous Pramod Chakravorty's 1973 film, Jugnu which had initially starred the legendary pair, Dharmendra and Hema Malini. Reportedly, late Pramod's grandson Prateek is very keen to helm this remake but what surprises this news is that our very own Khiladi, Akshay Kumar might now be seen reprising Dharmendra's role in this remake. Apparently, if sources are to be believed, Prateek has already put forth this remake proposal to Akshay. However, having witnessed Akshay's tight packed schedule with forthcoming films like Gabbar and Shaukeen, to name a few, Prateek has considered Akshay's date issues and has now agreed to wait for Akshay, till the time he doesn't get free. Well, seems like Prateek's Jugnu remake is only meant for Akki and no one else. We wonder who will reprise Hema Malini's role in this one, any guesses?
