Turkey downs Syrian chopper
Turkey's government says its warplanes shot down a Syrian Mi-17 helicopter near this village.
The aircraft was brought down with a missile, causing it to crash land on the Syrian side of the border.
Turkey's foreign minister said the crew had been warned that they were violating Turkish airspace.

It pursued its route and came two kilometres into our territory. It continued despite the warning. Turkey, knowing its international rights and using its supreme rights and in the framework of the duties of the armed forces, the airforce intervened, and the Syrian aircraft, once it left Turkish territory, fell after four kilometres.
