9/11 BACKLASH: Golf Course Apologizes After Trying to Bank off Tragedy

A golf course in Verona, Wisconsin, a suburb of Madison, posted an ad in the Wisconsin State Journal offering deals for the anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. The advertisement offered 9 holes of golf for $9.11 or 18 holes for $19.11. The golf course faced intense backlash on both Facebook and Twitter. They issued numerous apologies for the callous comparison and offered to donate profits from the day to the 9/11 Memorial fund.
