If cellphones could be "Phonebloks" it'll be better for our planet!!

Consumer technology goods continues to fill our landfills, with smartphones being one of the main contributors. One problem is that a broken speaker or screen can render most smartphones obsolete.

To combat this disposable-system, Dave Hakkens has thought up Phonebloks. With his new smartphone design, individual hardware pieces become easily removable and upgradeable with a simple modular design.

The only question is, can this science fiction become a reality?
