With The fall In Rupee, No Foreign Shoots For Bollywood !

The drastic drop in the Indian rupee resulting in the dollar hike has already raised eyebrows across the globe, having affected several nationals. However, seems like our Bollywood nation has also faced a terrible blow from the US currency hike of late. Going by a few earlier films, a single film like Ek Tha Tiger had easily switched its scenes at different places varying from Ireland to Denmark to Turkey. Not only this film but there were several other films too which have travelled to corners across the globe but with the recent dollar hike, the filmmakers are now believed to settle for places like south-east Asia, Middle East and South Africa or within the bounds of our own country, India. According to the facts, while there was a 40 percent increase in shooting at foreign locales by Indian filmmakers in 2012, this year it has declined by 30 percent.

In contrast to it, from the decline of 20 percent in shooting at domestic locales last year, this year it has increased by 35 percent. Well, India is the new abroad, right makers?
