Australia PM makes last-ditch voter plea

Facing the prospect of a stinging election defeat, Australia's prime minister makes a last-ditch plea to voters.
Kevin Rudd promised Sunday a combination of tax breaks and education programs to breathe life into a slowing economy.
The plan comes with Rudd's Labor Party trailing the opposition - just six days before Australians head to the polls for parliamentary elections.
SOUNDBITE) (English) AUSTRALIAN PRIME MINISTER KEVIN RUDD SAYING:
"In this election we are now engaged in the fight of our lives. It's a fight about the values which underpin Australia's future. A fight about our vision for Australia's future. It's a fight about how we go about building Australia's future, a future for the many, not just for the few."
A recent poll gave a coalition headed by opposition leader Tony Abbott 53 percent of the vote - compared to 47 percent for Labor.
Under Labor, Australia's economy has continued to grow and joblessness remains relatively low at under 6
