Parts of Yosemite National Park charred by wildfires

Firefighters in northern California continue battling the so called Rim Fire that has charred more than 100,000 acres of national forest.
The fire is burning parts of Yosemite National Park, one of the states most popular tourist destinations famous for it's giant sequoia groves and waterfalls.
Firefighters say they're setting more fires in an attempt to contain the flames.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) FLAGSTAFF "HOT SHOT" FIREFIGHTER ROB DINTMAN SAYING:
"We are basically creating a fire perimeter so we're reducing the fuels by blackening them, burning them so we can call it a contained line."
Treacherous terrain and unfavorable weather is making the firefighters jobs increasingly difficult. In fact, special firefighting drones are being readied to help reach remote parts of the fire.
The fire has destroyed four homes since it started on August 17th.
