EU spreads its wings in Central America

More Central American countries are getting EU ambassadors, after a new association agreement officially came into force earlier this month.

Up until this year, only Guatemala had an ambassador.

The EU is the second biggest economic partner of Central America after the United States. The main exports to Europe include microchips, coffee, bananas and pineapples.
