A video posted on YouTube has sparked uproar across Malaysia. The images show a group of Singaporean tourists performing Buddhist chants in an Islamic prayer room. The group has since been expelled, while the owner of the hotel where they were staying faces up to two years in jail for insulting Islam. The episode is seen as highlighting the continuing divide between Malaysia's various communities.
