Madrid, Aug 21 (EFE).- Raul Gonzalez, former Real Madrid striker, will be honoured Thursday before the Santiago Bernabeu trophy match. His current team Al Sadd arrived in Madrid on Wednesday, ready to face the whites in their summer competition.

Raul also spoke at a press conference and commented on Iker Casillas' status, claiming that he felt that the goalie wanted to continue competing with the club and the Spanish national side.

He added that the goalkeeper's current situation was not drastic enough as the one he was enduring when he decided to leave the club.

Raul also claimed that it would be a very emotional match seeing as he did not get the chance to say goodbye to fans and colleagues as he would have liked in 2010.

Emilio Butrageño showered the striker with compliments and thanked Raul for the 16 years of dedication he gave the club.
