I have used three planers in my woodworking hobby, a Delta, a DeWalt and this Makita. This is by far my favorite for a very important reason: EASY BLADE CHANGE. All three planers work equally well, but I am a bit of a klutz and could not do a good blade change on the other two models. With the Makita the blade change is a snap. Get it, and you won't have to hassle about a difficult blade change.
