Who'll Stop The Rain (CCR Cover)

  • il y a 11 ans
A John Fogerty's song, released in 1970 in the album "Cosmos Factory" of CCR, and in the single "Travelin' Band". It rests on the band's experience at the Woodstock Festival in August 1969, but many see it as a thinly veiled protest against the Vietnam War.

WHO'll STOP THE RAIN (Lyrics)

Intro : G DEm DG
Long as I remember, rain being falling down
Clouds of mystery pouring, confusion on the ground
Good men through the ages
Trying to find the sun
And I wonder, still I wonder
Who'll stop the rain?
DG
I went down Virginia, seeking shelter from the storm
Caught up in a fable, I watched the tower grow
Five years plans and new deals
Wrapped in golden chains
And I wonder, still I wonder
Who'll stop the rain?
DG C G D Am Em C D G
Heard the singers playing, how we cheered for more
The crowd had rushed together, trying to keep warm
Still the rain kept falling
Falling on my ears
And I wonder, still I wonder
Who'll stop the rain?
DG DEm DG
And I wonder, still I wonder
Who'll stop the rain?
