Barcelona defender Montoya confident that he will play more this season
Sant Joan Despí (Barcelona), Jul 18 (EFE).- Barcelona defender Martin Montoya spoke at a press conference on Thursday and claimed that he was hoping to get more play time this year. He was also confident that he would be a "threat" to Dani Alves, who plays in Montoya's position.
He went on to claim that he was looking forward to renewing his contract seeing as he wants to carry on playing for, as he puts it, "the best team in the world".
The player also commented on Thiago Alcantaras transfer to Bayern Munich and spoke about Sergi Robert, a younger player from the B-team who could, in the future, play in the same position as Alcantara. He also said that Thiago would someday be one of the best players in the world.
