Run Like Pheidippides
Pheideippides was the messenger who, according to Greek legend,
ran from the field of battle at Marathon to the city of Athens.
His message to its citizens was that the Greek army
had won a great victory over the invading Persian forces.
He was so exhausted and de-hydrated on his arrival that he gasped the words
"Rejoice, we've won" and dropped dead.

Today hundreds of thousands of athletes each year attempt to
replicate the exploits of Pheideippides by running the 'Marathon' -
the distance he is thought to have run on that fateful day.
However, I think if you asked Pheidippides to describe himself
in one word the wouldn't say "athlete" or "runner"; he would say "Messenger".

Much more than a runner!
Pheidippides knew that the 'good news' he carried had the
power to make the people feel free again.
The 'Run4Christ' team know the Gospel of Jesus has the power
to set you free from your sin and cause you to live again.
