U.S. motorist drives off after hitting mother, child

Michigan police are on the hunt for a man, seen here getting into a van, who reversed into a woman pushing a stroller on Wednesday.

He then dragged the stroller, with a one-year-old boy fastened inside, for a few metres, briefly stopping to let the mother unbuckle him, before speeding off.

The boy was not injured in the incident, but his mother suffered a scraped knee.

Officers released the video in hopes the public would be able to identify the driver.
