A taxi driver is arrested in American tourist's death over fare dispute

A taxi driver was arrested in Bangkok after allegedly killing an American passenger with a sword, according to Thai police.

Police allege the driver attacked the American with a samurai sword Saturday after a dispute over the fare.

Closed Circuit television footage showed pictures of two men fighting, one brandishing a sword.

According to local media, the driver said he had chased after the American after he got out of the vehicle without paying his fare.

Local media reports the driver has been charged with murder.
