‘A PERFECT STORM’: Spokesman: 19 Firefighters Killed in AZ Elite Unit Caught in Surprise Conditions

A Prescott fire department spokesperson on NBC’s Today Show Monday morning spoke about the blaze that killed 19 firefighters in Arizona on Sunday. Wade Ward admits they still don’t know exactly what went wrong when the entire Prescott Wildland Fire team became trapped by flames. NBC reports one firefighter did make it out, but had burns on over 75% of his body, and reports that about half of the town has been destroyed.
