Formed in 2009, The Bloody Five are 70's 80's and 90's babies with a mutual passion for creating music and building on each other's imagination. The band's multi-generational make-up and fusion of relative influences drive their mission to brew a magical mystery potion for the ears.

Tomi Fear and KD were inspired to write tunes while jamming in Claremont, Ontario with "The Vinyl Knights", a blues brotherhood who was extremely fortunate to count the late great Big Daddy G among their numbers on many occasion. Vinyl night still remains a much anticipated weekly ritual. Jay Appleby on bass is like no other -- "cool" is the only word to describe him. Robby "Raw Beats" Sedran rounds out the band with his uncanny ability to define the groove using innovative fills and his double bass pedal. He speaks softly but carries powerful sticks.

In 2010, The Bloody Five released their first EP, Bedroom Music, which was well received by fans and given positive reviews. The band worked hard to manage and promote itself and collaborate with different people also yearning to express their artistic passion in different ways. The band has performed at several venues including TK's (Aurora), The Drake Hotel, The Central (as a nominee for the Toronto Independent Music Awards), The Rockpile, The Horseshoe Tavern, Lee's Palace, Reggie's Bar (Montreal), The Bovine Sex Club (Envol Et Macadam finals), The Hideout (for Canadian Music Fest), The Hardluck Bar, Dundas Square, Less Than Level (Oakville), Theatre Aurora, The Corktown Pub (Hamilton) for the Y108 Spring Music Fest, Hollywood on the Queensway (Roundtable / Indie Love Radio Showcase), Velvet Underground, and Rancho Relaxo (Indie Machine / Indie Love Radio Showcase).

Two songs from the first EP have been selected for compilations and most tracks have also been remixed as electronica thanks to Jacob Hipel of Basement Love. Songs from the first EP are on rotation at Humber Radio and CFMU (McMaster) and the track, "Never Again", has been included in the Rock Band 3 video game.

The band is excited to release a full length album, single, and music video early in 2012. The entire album is produced and engineered by Derek Hoffman, singer from Brighter Brightest, one of the bands recently featured on Much Music's Discovered. The first single, (I Wanna Go To) New York City is the band's rendition of a punk classic by The Demics. This track was mixed by Brian Moncarz. The band travelled to New York City in the summer of 2011 to shoot a video for the song with the help of Kevin McLaughlin, owner of Autoshare, Chris Nelson and videographer, Martin Wojtunik. The video also involves former CBGB's and The Ramones.

The album was mastered by Joao Carvalho at his very special mastering space in downtown Toronto. Stay tuned! The Bloody Five are January 2012's London FM96 Band Of The Month and May 2012′s The Edge 102.1 and Y108 Band Of The Month.
