I've just bought a spinet (small harpsichord), and here is my first recording on it. The choice of the tune is simply because this is the first real tune I ever learnt on the piano back in the early 80's (in a simplified revision of course), and thought it could be a nice tribute to my newly acquired spinet.
Note that the bass is switched to "muted" mode (a piece of felt is touching the strings, thus creating this fainter sound) since it would be too loud otherwise.
The spinet is tuned to A=432Hz and I'm using the Valotti (1754) temperament for this recording.
Je viens d'acheter une épinette (petit clavecin), et voici mon premier enregistrement avec cet instrument. J'ai choisi ce morceau parce que c'est le premier morceau que j'ai appris au piano au début des années 80 (une version simplifiée, bien entendu), et j'ai pensé que ce serait un bel hommage à mon nouvelle épinette.
À noter que les basses sont passées en mode "sourdine" (une sourdine en feutre est posée sur les cordes, étouffant le son en partie) sinon les accords sont trop forts par rapport au chant.
L'épinette est accordée au La=432Hz et j'utilise le tempérament de Valotti (1754) pour cet enregistrement.
