Sadr City residents clear up what's left of their homes and businesses.
Five people died in a car bombing in the Baghdad district Tuesday.
It was the latest in a spate of sectarian attacks across Iraq that have killed more than 300 people this month.
Local politicians have been accused of not doing enough to curb the almost daily attacks.
(SOUNDBITE) (ARABIC) LOCAL RESIDENT ABU HAIDER SAYING:
" Let the parliamentarians be happy," this man says. "They enjoy their millions while the people are fighting and killing each other."
Tensions between the country's Shi'ite leadership and the Sunni Arab minority are at their worst since U.S. troops left in December 2011.
(SOUNDBITE) (ARABIC) ABU ALI, AN IRAQI CITIZEN, SAYING:
"Now I'm afraid to go out into the street. I don't feel safe. I'm afraid when a car pulls over next to me, and I'm afraid when people get out of a car. Everyday put my life on the line, as they say."
