Russia: Ex-porn star puts hands on decks

Former adult entertainment star Sasha Grey arrived in Moscow on Sunday night to play a DJ set in a club for the conclusion of her auto rally across Russia. Describing her music as "experimental psychedelic death dub", the ex-porn actress is making attempts to win over audiences with her musical skills as her previous career takes a backseat.
Fans at the Main Bar nightclub in Moscow took many pictures of the former porn star, with many men present in the audience. One member shouted out for Grey's attention as he took pictures of her on his mobile phone. Playing a range of music from classic house to recent chic style disco, the actress did not play her own music but the music of other DJs.
Grey's Russia excursion started in Vladivostok in Russia's Far East earlier in May. The star then embarked on an overland road trip, driving through Khabarovsk, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and Sochi in a car rally organised by the automobile website drom.ru. Driving a Lada Kalina for the 9000 kilometre rally, she stopped at places to take part in different activities ranging from cooking to playing DJ sets.
Grey became popular for her adult entertainment roles in the late 2000s but retired from the industry in 2011. She now plans to focus on music endeavors, conventional acting, and modelling.
