The present seminar aims to investigate architectural design methods used in Mughal Architecture. The primary aim is to provide an introduction to the methods and principles used to determine the architectural form in Mughal Architecture. The theoretical background for Mughal design methods shall also be studied.
Taimoor Khan Mumtaz is a practicing architect specializing in Islamic Architecture. He has presented numerous papers at national and international conferences on Islamic Art, Sacred Geometry and Tradition and Modernity. He teaches architecture at Imperial College of Business Studies, Lahore and conducts workshops on Islamic Architecture at various educational institutions.
Hastoneest Seminar/Short Courses are intensive learning courses of three days where leading scholars and members of the Hastoneest teaching faculty give participants an introductory understanding into topics related to tradition and modernity.
