What would you attempt if you knew you couldn’t fail? Natascha Bessez, a New Yorker with an international flavor, took that motto to heart. It has served her well, leading to acting, presenting and now taking her passion for music and performance to a career as a performing artist.

From French and Spanish classics by the likes of Charles Azvanour and Serge Gainsbourg, through to the contemporary sounds of Leona Lewis and Christina Aguilera, her eclectic influences and tastes reflect a cosmopolitan personality. No real surprise when you consider her roots and upbringing: a French father, a Chilean mother, and travel throughout Europe, including stays in Madrid, Belgium and Cannes. It all makes for a well-traveled individual (and might go some way to explaining her hidden talent for accents and impersonations).

Like her idols Brigitte Bardot and Sophia Loren before her, Natascha epitomizes the classic style of the South of France, the effortless sex appeal, and the chic attitude. She incorporates elements and styles of the richness and beauty of classic French melodies Charles Aznavour, Serge Gainsbourg and Michel Polnareff made famous. Most importantly, her songs must have a strong melody. “I believe in the idea of having great melodies drive the music. I want to be able to do any song I sing acoustically, accappella – I want the lyrics and melody to be able to stand on their own.”
