NOMADS is the new musical sensation out of Boston with a distinctive blend of Kompa, Zouk and Cabo infused sound. The band's lead singer /arranger/producer Pierre, is a son of Guadeloupe and an honor graduate of Berklee College of Music. Multi-instrumentalist, arranger and producer Mark Gonçalves is of CapeVerdean descent and a respected staple of many popular releases in the CapeVerdean community and usually involved in producing and backing CapeVerdean greats. Haitian born songwriter, arranger and guitarist, Steve Desrosiers, is among Boston’s esteemed session and live world music players. He is also well known for his stint as CaRiMi's original guitar player whose touch gave the band its signature sound live. The result of years of friendship and studio-based collaborations has taken form in NOMADS' first release “The Challenge”: a one of a kind blend of the commercial traditions of Haiti, Guadeloupe and Cabo Verde.
