NGO OKAFOR always appreciated the value of a good education, but knew he could strive for both education and his dream of becoming a boxer. After graduating with a degree in computer science from the University of Connecticut, Ngo landed a job with the Connecticut Department of Transportation, where he taught engineers and architects how to draw using computers. Being a self-proclaimed nerd, Ngo could no longer deny his natural athleticism and curiosity in sports and began pursuing his dream.
Within three years of beginning his career in 2005 at age 31, Ngo became a two-time heavyweight champion, winning back-to-back Golden Gloves, the highest distinction in amateur boxing. NGO is hailed as one of the best boxers of his generation. Never being one to rest on his laurels, Ngo continues to train everyday and has become a fitness guru creating vigorous regiments of both boxing and weight-lifting. With an unmatched physique, Ngo entered the world of modeling, posing with some of the most renowned superstars including Gisele Bundchen and Mary J. Blige. He's appeared in more dozens of top-selling American publications such as Men's Health Magazine, Vogue, W, Fortune, ESPN Magazine and was celebrated alongside five Olympians in the March issue of the Wall Street Journal Magazine. Most recently, Ngo was named as the new face for the sportswear empire Under Armour and is currently considered the most downloaded African-American model on the internet.

On top of it all, Ngo is beginning to see a flourishing acting career. His television work has included appearances on All My Children, One Life to Live, Six Degrees and Kings. He recently worked with Catherine Zeta Jones on The Rebound which is set for DVD this fall. Currently, Ngo is working on his latest project, Triumph of the Will, a documentary, which chronicles his journey from Nigeria to the top of the boxing world. Ngo would like to encourage the people of Nigeria to never give up and to constantly improve oneself.
