I am an enthusiast of particulerly Pakistan and Indian MUSIC AND POETRY, HUMDS AND NAATS.

Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Saheb of India was a friend of my maternal grandfather Sheikh Mohammad Rafi. My grandfather was also a poet, orator and a lecturer of high calibre in India i.e. before partition. He had privilege to acquire fair amount of know how in music from Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Saheb and passed it on to the family. In London I acquired knowledge from Ustad Ismail Sheikh of Kenya.

I was given an opportunity to meet ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh, few months ago. He kindly listened to me and was pleased with my progress. He advised me to keep my 'riaz' up and running.

I have been passionate in acquiring musical achievements since my childhood. I have participated in several programmes. Before coming to England I appeared on radio Pakistan Karachi, Hyderabad and Lahore television, as well as on stage.

In UK I have had the opportunity to appear on stage on many occasions as well as charity shows. On two occasions I was a participant on a stage show with late Akhlaq Ahmed and on one occasion with both Rajab Ali and Akhlaq Ahmed. On one occasion I performed on stage in Watford, UK. Organised for Asad Amanat (s/o Ustad Amanat Ali Khan) and Hamid Ali. Film star Lehri, Ms Rohi Bano(PTV)and some other celebrities were also present.

In my practice sessions I sing songs sung by Mehdi Hassan, Mohammad Rafi ,Mukesh, Tallat Mehmood, Masood Rana, Kishore Kumar, Mahinder Kapoor, Habib Wali Mohammad, Ghulam Ali, Saleem Raza and others. Madam Noor Jehan and Madam Lata Mangeshkar are my favourite female singer's.

There are few other singers who are my favourite too and I have items sung by them in my collection as well.

My own musical productions include film songs, geets, ghazals and naats which I play and sing in my own style. I have composed my own music for many ghazals and naats by famous poets.

I practice on a fusion of harmonium played by myself, and rhythm from e/keyboard mix. Also solely on Yamaha PSR K1 electronic keyboard.
