Larry Starr, Sarasota real estate developer, property manager, and entrepreneur is the CEO of Realty One Alliance, a company which offers a wide range of services to buyers and sellers of real estate. He is also President of Realty One Florida and Barrier Island Realty which offer Real Estate services to buyers and sellers of residential real estate, and he heads up the Sarasota based offices of Sperry Van Ness Commercial Advisory Services, a commercial real estate firm specializing in acquisition, sale and management of commercial properties. According to Larry Starr, Sarasota is an ideal location for his various business ventures that, in addition to real estate, include vacation rental services and luxury vehicle ownership programs.
In 1983, just after college, the Larry Starr Sarasota Cellular One franchise was opened. He and his brother remained partners in this business until 1988 until Starr, eager to pursue new opportunities, sold his interest and entered the vacation rental management arena. Soon, Larry Starr’s Sarasota area holiday rental properties business was taking up the majority of his time.
According to Larry Starr, Sarasota’s Longboat Accommodations was his first successful property management project. Here, Starr managed 400 properties and purchased an additional leasing agency to handle the volume of inquiries he was fielding on a daily basis. Larry Starr, Sarasota vacation rental expert by this point, opened his own travel agency, and rebranded his vacation rental company as Florida Vacation Accommodations. FVA encompassed all of the Larry Starr Sarasota vacation rental property companies.
