Following her graduation from the New York School of Interior Design, Kaley Tyne Johnson has pursued a successful career as a freelance interior designer. Kaley’s career takes her around the world and she works regularly with clients in the US, the UK and Canada.

For Kaley, the work of Parisian designer Jean-Louis Deniot has been a major influence and she cites his ability to create atmosphere through architectural and interior design elements as being inspirational in terms of her own approach to the craft. Kaley, who has worked in France on a number of previous occasions, particularly enjoys visiting the Loire region of the country due to the unique nature of the buildings found there.

Kaley loves travel in general and appreciates the opportunities that her job gives her to follow her passion in this regard. When visiting another country, either for work or pleasure, she finds it important to gain a true appreciation of the region’s culture rather than confining herself to the tourist trail.

A long-held interest in architecture complements Kaley’s expertise in interior design and she finds restoring period features within the interiors she is working on to be one of the most enjoyable elements of her job.

Kaley loves to keep fit and is a particular fan of HIIT workouts, as they can be practiced anywhere. She also regularly paddleboards and is a keen practitioner of yoga. Outside of work, Kaley can often be found regularly attending art exhibitions; she is most interested in neo-classical and abstract styles, with echoes of both identifiable in her own design work.
