Curtain Call with David Spatz

Curtain Call with David Spatz is the only television program that takes viewers on location to America’s showrooms and concert venues for casual conversations with entertainers enhanced by performance or rarely seen rehearsal footage.

Curtain Call goes beyond the 30-second sound bite and reaches for more than the hype and the sensational. The Emmy Award winning program has removed the audience, stripped the set bare to backstage reality and engages the guest – and ultimately - the viewer with a conversation that’s both genuine and revealing.

Award-winning Journalist David J. Spatz, who’s been covering the American entertainment scene for almost 30 years, hosts Curtain Call. The show is a natural extension of his columns that have appeared regularly in publications including the New York Daily News, the Atlantic City Press, the Las Vegas Sun and the Hollywood Reporter.

His extensive knowledge, experience and relationships with entertainers enables David to lead his subjects into a casual chat and lets the conversation flow naturally.

“The best compliments we’ve received have been when guests tells us they were so caught up in the conversation they forgot there were two cameras recording every word,” Spatz says.

Currently airing on Atlantic City’s NBC affiliate, WMGM-TV, guests have represented a broad cross section of the entertainment industry and include Bill Cosby, Jay Leno, Regis Philbin, Larry The Cable Guy, Jeff Foxworthy, Frank Caliendo; musicians like Smokey Robinson, Trace Adkins and G-Love, “Sopranos” stars Steven Van Zandt, Dominic Chianese and Michael Imperoli.

Curtain Call is produced by Atlantic Coast Productions, LLC. Jake Glassey, Jr. is the show’s producer, Tom Morgenweck, Jr. is the videographer and editior and Dave Pashuck is production supervisor.
