Bensimon : une marque précurseur qui bouleverse les codes de la mode et de la création en transformant les surplus militaires et la fripe.
Les années 1980 marquent le début de l’aventure avec les premières ouvertures de boutiques. Tout commence dans le Marais, rue des Francs Bourgeois, avec Autour du Monde, enseigne des collections Bensimon, intemporelles et casual, inspirées de l’univers du voyage. Suivront de nombreuses ouvertures et notamment, Home Autour du monde, un concept innovant, le premier en France, à l’écoute de nos envies, dans lequel prêt-à-porter et objets de décoration se côtoient en toute harmonie; mais aussi la librairie Artazart accordant une place nouvelle au design, au graphisme et à l’architecture; la Gallery S.Bensimon, aux frontières de l’art contemporain et du design. Il aurait pu s’arrêter là !
Mais il s’aperçoit que le marché est en train de changer, une nouvelle génération s’intéresse à la marque. Il crée pour eux B.Team

BENSIMON: a visionary brand which turns the traditional fashion and design codes upside down by transforming military surplus gear and vintage clothing. The eighties saw the beginning of the adventure with the opening of the first stores. Everything started in Le Marais, Rue des Francs Bourgeois, with Autour Du Monde which is the name of the stores carrying the Bensimon collections: ageless, casual, inspired by the travelling world. Several store openings followed particularly HOME AUTOUR DU MONDE, an innovative concept and a first in France, where decorative objects and ready-to-wear were mixed harmoniously; also the ARTAZART bookshop and therefore has started to extend its influence into design, graphic design and architecture; Gallery S. Bensimon, a place between contempory art and design. Serge could have stopped at that but…
He realized that the market for fashion was changing and that a new generation of customers was interested in his brand. He create for them B.TEAM
